I combine my 22 years of parenting 4 children, (including raising a son with autism) and overcoming my own mental health challenges, with my professional experience and qualifications in the areas of Mental Health, Parent support and Youth Coaching & Mentoring to help young people and their families thrive...

I'm a Nationally Accredited Mediator and Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner in my own private practice, and I work at the University of Newcastle as a casual academic, teaching undergraduate psychology students...

I am passionate about helping others overcome adversity and challenges that they are facing. I enjoy listening to people and then helping them to see the bright side of a situation and finding solutions to their issues. I've volunteered at many organisations over the last 40 years of my life...

The combination of my experience as Assistant Principal at Angelorum College, living and working internationally, many years of teaching senior students, together with raising my own teenage children, and homeschooling them for several years, has given me many opportunities to gain insight into the challenges that our youth and young people face today.

I am passionate about improving, and bringing awaress to, the issues which young people face today. I always strive to have a positive impact on those who have suffered in any way – spiritually, emotionally and physically. As a Young Adult myself, I understand how young people interpret and view the world...

The Choose Thrive Inc Board fulfil a variety of duties, including, but not limited to:

  • Ensuring Primary Objectives are being met
  • Financial Management
  • Accountability

We are grateful to our Board of Directors who willingly donate their time to Choose Thrive Inc, and for their support to the youth and young adults of the Central Coast in helping them become the best they can be.

"‘Win/win is a belief in the Third Alternative.
It’s not your way or my way; it’s a better way, a higher way"

Stephen Covey

As Choose Thrive Inc is dedicated to supporting youth and young adults, we believe that their voice is the most important one, when ensuring that we are successful. For this reason, we have established a committee of youth and young adults, which was formed to meet the following objectives:

  • Ensure the voices of young people are being heard
  • Ensure that as an organization, we are aware the current issues and concerns that young people are facing
  • Generate and discuss new ideas for Solutions and initiatives
  • Provide feedback on Solutions and new initiatives
  • Raise community awareness about our cause
  • Foster teamwork and collaboration with other young people
  • Support the Board and Staff
  • Volunteer – in the Café, Shop, Fundraising, at events etc

Our Committee formally meets once a month, but may also choose to meet intermittently when required – as a whole group, smaller groups or one on one.

The Committee Leader meets with the Young Adult representative on the Board once a month, then reports to the Board at the next monthly Board meeting.

We are grateful to our Committee Members who willingly donate their time to Choose Thrive Inc, and for being the voice of the youth and young adults on the Central Coast.

together we can do great things."
